gritblasting

Grit Blasting is the process of utilizing steel or iron that has been crushed from round particles of sand. Steel grit is used for removing heavy scale; iron grit is used to remove paint from steel, and “soft” organic blasting is used to remove contamination from delicate parts or to remove plastic flashing.

The end result is a product thoroughly cleaned of paint and/or rust. Our Grit Blasters can then take this a stage further and zinc coat the product, making it very nearly rust-proof. This process also serves to prime it ready for painting.

Our industrial Grit Blasters are very capable at painting. Thus contract jobs where our customers need us to gritblast, zinc and finally painting are a common request.

We cover items from the size of a tennis ball to large vessels!

We also rent out our compressors to allow customers to do their own gritblasting.
